For quite a while now, I have been leaning/wanting/believing I'm supposed to stay home with Noah. But I am the breadwinner. We have been praying a lot, paying off a lot of debt, praying a lot, for this to come about. Scott has been looking for a new job since august. Not much luck. Those he has interviewed for did not want to pay him more than he makes now.
So we decided we needed to do something to get some clarity from God. We are beginning a Daniel fast for the next 10 days. Our denomination is not one that encourages fasting- so this is a first for us. The Daniel fast is one where you eat a limited diet and fast for many days instead of refraining from eating for a day. We will essentially be on a vegan diet for 10 days- maybe longer. We will reassess at the 10 day mark if we need to do more.
The weird thing is everything in our house has been breaking. This weekend it was the stove. Last week we had a new roof on. In the past 2-3 years we have replaced the heater, the air conditioning unit, the pool cleaner, the pool cover. So we are wondering if all this has happened so that if we do have to move, our house will sell quick since it is brand new! We are also working on painting the interior and exterior.
